Have you considered the possibility that those on the other side, *because* they're detached and in a state of love and freed from the pains and sufferings and foibles of human existence that they help, guide, protect those still here? Just something to think about …
I wish that were true. But no, they are not here. Because if they were, there wouldn't be so much sadness.
